By downloading, purchasing, accessing, or using Hands On Heart, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website. “Hands On Heart,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the provider of the Hands On Heart app and www.handsonheart.app.

2. Educational purpose only

Hands On Heart provides an overview of selected Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) concepts and practice workflows for educational and informational purposes. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, clinical decision support, emergency dispatch, certification, or professional services.

The app does not replace accredited education, formal certification, supervised skills training, current official guidelines, institutional protocols, professional judgment, or advice from a qualified medical professional. Never delay seeking professional help because of information in Hands On Heart.

3. No emergency reliance

Hands On Heart is not designed, tested, or authorized as a medical device or emergency-response tool. It may be unavailable, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular person, setting, jurisdiction, device, or event. In a real emergency, contact local emergency services, seek a doctor or other qualified medical professional, and follow applicable protocols.

4. Eligibility and professional responsibility

You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If you use Hands On Heart in connection with education or professional work, you remain solely responsible for maintaining appropriate training, credentials, supervision, and compliance with the laws and protocols that apply to you. The app does not authorize you to perform any medical procedure.

5. Purchases and platform terms

Hands On Heart is offered as a paid app through supported storefronts. Pricing, taxes, family sharing, payment processing, refunds, and download availability are controlled by Apple App Store or Google Play and may vary by country or region. Your use is also subject to the applicable storefront's terms. Unless the storefront provides otherwise, your purchase grants a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on supported devices.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Hands On Heart as a substitute for emergency services, formal training, certification, or professional medical advice;
• misrepresent the app as providing certification, clinical authorization, or guaranteed outcomes;
• copy, resell, distribute, reverse engineer, or exploit the app except where applicable law expressly permits;
• interfere with the app, website, security, or the experience of other users; or
• use the product unlawfully or in a way that infringes the rights of others.

7. Accuracy and third-party materials

We aim to provide useful educational information, but medical knowledge, guidelines, products, and local protocols change. We do not guarantee that any content is complete, current, error-free, effective, or suitable for your circumstances. Links or references to third-party organizations, guidelines, products, or services are provided for convenience and do not imply affiliation or endorsement. Hands On Heart is not a substitute for consulting the latest official materials.

8. Intellectual property

Hands On Heart, its original design, software, branding, text, and other original materials are protected by intellectual-property laws. Third-party names, marks, guidelines, and materials belong to their respective owners. No rights are granted except the limited right to use the product under these terms and the applicable storefront license.

9. Updates, availability, and termination

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features to improve the product, address safety or legal requirements, or maintain compatibility. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or support for every device or operating-system version. We may terminate access where allowed by law if these terms are materially violated.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hands On Heart is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, availability, non-infringement, or a particular educational, medical, or real-world outcome. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hands On Heart and its provider will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of opportunity, or harm arising from reliance on or inability to use the app or website. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the product or law changes. The revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
